The panel will share successful strategies that they implemented to drive remote and hybrid learning in their school organizations. Even in the midst of the pandemic with the need to pivot quickly, there have been some highlights around teaching and learning successes with technology. Panelists will be asked what changes they hope to maintain and to talk about remaining questions and challenges.

Director of Media and Digital Learning
Needham Public Schools
Jean Tower currently serves as the Director of Media and Digital Learning for Needham Public Schools in Massachusetts. Jean’s primary interest is in effective integration of technology in the curriculum and in creating the essential conditions to enable that to happen. Before working in the public schools, she worked in information technology in the private sector, as well as in higher education. Ms. Tower has 30 years of experience in K-12 educational technology, a BS in Computer Science, a Master’s degree in Critical and Creative Thinking, and a CAGS in Educational Administration from Boston University. Jean is the Past Chair of CoSN, Current VP and Past President of the Board of the Massachusetts Educational Technology Administrators Association.

Oxford Public Schools
Kadion is the Director of Educational Technology for the Oxford Public Schools, a suburban school district of 1,600 students in Central Massachusetts. In his role, he supports the technical, administrative and educational technology functions by providing leadership in technology throughout the school district in the areas of instruction, management and integration. He leads the development and implementation of technology infusion initiatives for the district including the coordination, articulation, implementation, assessment, and oversight of the educational technology and the integration with the PreK-12 curricula. Prior to his work in Central Office, Kadion was a teacher and administrator in the New York City Public Schools for seven years. Kadion relocated to Sturbridge, Massachusetts in 2011 with his wife Michele, who he met while they were both undergraduates at Middlebury College. When Kadion is not working in Educational Technology, he is often found transporting or coaching one of his three boys on their athletic teams.

Norton Public Schools
Karen Winsper is the Director of Instructional Technology for the Norton Public Schools. She is dedicated to supporting educators as they utilize technology to enhance teaching & learning. She is a former technology integration specialist and classroom teacher. Karen is a Google certified educator and MassCUE Pathfinder. She is a member of METAA, MassCUE, ISTE, MSLA, and DKG. Mary Marotta is an Instructional Technology teacher with over twenty years experience teaching at the high school, college level with a focus on technology integration.
